The purpose of the Ophthalmic Business Council (formerly the Corporate Advisory Council) is to bring together leaders from the American Academy of Ophthalmology and ophthalmic businesses, providing opportunities to exchange information and ideas, and by doing so, improve the quality of care among patients. The Spring and Fall Symposia are a benefit of membership in the Ophthalmic Business Council (OBC) and are open to all members in good standing. For more information on the OBC and its membership benefits Click here or contact Todd Lyckberg at 415-447-0361 or tlyckberg@aao.org. | 2010 Fall Symposium September 9-10, 2010 San Francisco, CA | 2011 Spring Symposium April 7, 2011 Washington, DC | | The purpose of the Fall Symposium is to bring leaders from the Academy and industry executives together to share mutual concerns and needs, and monitor trends and issues effecting eye care. The Fall Symposium offers formal and informal opportunities to exchange information and ideas between the leaders of ophthalmology. | The Spring Symposium is a biennial event which focuses on reimbursement, FDA Ophthalmic Drug & Device policies, and changes within CMS. Industry representatives that typically attend focus within these areas. This is approximately a half day symposium; unlike the Fall Symposium the Academy leaders do not attend this meeting. | We gratefully acknowledge the companies listed below that have supported the Academy Foundation in the fiscal year 2009-2010 through their participation in the Ophthalmic Business Council. | Benefactors ($15,000) | | Alcon, Inc.
